Engineered for real-world performance. Built to defence-grade standards. Made in Australia.
RDM exists to deliver ammunition that performs the same way, every time, under every condition. No variance. No excuses. Just rounds that hit where they're aimed.
Components sourced and tested to exceed standard commercial tolerances. Every batch, every calibre.
Consistent case neck tension, charge weights, and seating depths. The variables that define accuracy.
Developed for the demands of defence, competition, and professional shooters. Not range marketing.
Designed, developed, and manufactured in Australia. Supporting domestic capability and supply security.
Two calibres. One standard. Zero compromise on consistency, reliability, or accuracy.
High-volume, high-reliability handgun ammunition. Built for training, competition, and duty use.
Performance rifle ammunition for precision shooters, competitive marksmen, and professional operators.
NATO-specification rifle ammunition engineered for reliability across platforms.
RDM's highest-specification load. Developed for long-range precision shooting.
When standard loads don't meet your operational requirements, RDM develops custom ammunition to your exact specification.
Charge weights, projectile selection, case prep, and seating depth built around your specific use case.
Developed around real-world performance data. Every load verified before production begins.
Full documentation on every production run. Velocity, pressure, and accuracy data supplied with each order.
Accuracy isn't just about the rifle. It's about what goes into the chamber. RDM holds tolerances that most manufacturers don't measure.
Premium brass, match-grade projectiles, and consistent propellants sourced from verified suppliers.
Trimming, annealing, and deburring to uniform specifications. Consistent case dimensions are foundational.
Controlled charge weights and seating depths. Each variable documented and held to tolerance.
Dimensional checks, pressure validation, and live-fire accuracy verification before any batch is released.

The RDM 9mm is built around the 124-grain full metal jacket — the most widely used configuration in the calibre for good reason. It sits in the sweet spot between the lighter 115gr and heavier 147gr, delivering a balanced combination of velocity, recoil, and downrange consistency that suits everything from a full-size duty pistol to a compact carry firearm.
Loaded with ADI propellant and new primed brass, every round is assembled to the same standard regardless of batch size. Consistent case neck tension, controlled charge weights, and uniform seating depth produce predictable recoil impulse and reliable feeding across a wide range of 9mm platforms.
This is not a cut-price training round. It is production ammunition held to the same tolerances as higher-tier loads — because whether you are running drills or shooting a stage, consistency is what builds confidence.
The 124gr FMJ produces a recoil impulse that is easy to manage across extended sessions without sacrificing energy at the target. It meters consistently through progressive presses and cycles reliably in both duty-size and compact pistols. For competition shooters, it makes power factor with room to spare. For trainers running large groups through thousands of rounds, it performs without drama.

Precision match-grade rifle ammunition built to the tolerances that define long-range accuracy.
The RDM .223 77gr BTHP is built for shooters who need more from their ammunition than a standard factory load can deliver. The 77-grain boat tail hollow point is the preferred configuration for precision and competitive .223 shooting — heavier than conventional loads, it retains energy further downrange, resists wind deflection more effectively, and produces tighter groups at distance.
The boat tail design reduces base drag as the bullet transitions from the muzzle, contributing to a more stable flight path and improved consistency at extended ranges. The hollow point configuration is optimised for aerodynamic performance rather than expansion — this is a match projectile, engineered for accuracy.
Loaded using Australian ADI propellant and new primed brass, every round is assembled to match-grade tolerances. This is the same projectile weight trusted by precision rifle competitors, service rifle shooters, and tactical operators who have moved beyond standard 55gr and 62gr loads.
At extended ranges, lighter .223 projectiles lose stability and drift significantly in crosswinds. The 77gr BTHP maintains a superior ballistic coefficient that keeps it on track where lighter bullets fall off. It requires a 1:8 or faster twist rate to stabilise correctly — if your rifle is set up for precision work, it is almost certainly already there.
Dealer, distributor, and volume shooter enquiries welcome.
NATO-specification rifle ammunition built for reliable performance across all 5.56-chambered platforms. Consistent, dependable, and manufactured to the standard the designation demands.
The 5.56×45mm NATO is the standard rifle cartridge across Western military and law enforcement platforms. Adopted by NATO in 1963, it has decades of documented performance across every operational environment imaginable. RDM manufactures 5.56 to the same STANAG specification that defines the round — not as a commercial approximation of it.
Where the .223 Remington is a civilian sporting cartridge, the 5.56 NATO operates at slightly higher chamber pressures and is proof-tested accordingly. The result is a round that feeds and functions reliably in any platform rated for the cartridge, from short-barrelled carbines to full-length service rifles.
Loaded with Australian ADI propellant and new brass, each round is assembled to consistent specifications across the production run. For training programs that put thousands of rounds downrange, consistency is not a luxury — it is a requirement.
While the two cartridges share the same case dimensions, 5.56 NATO is loaded to higher pressure specifications than .223 Remington. A rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO will safely fire both. A rifle chambered strictly in .223 Remington should not be used with 5.56 NATO ammunition. If your platform is marked 5.56 NATO or multi-cal, this is the round it was designed for.

Custom projects begin with a conversation. Tell us what you need to achieve.
RDM was founded on a straightforward observation: Australian shooters — civilian, competitive, and professional — deserved access to domestically-produced ammunition built to a genuine performance standard. Not a repackaged import. Not a price-driven compromise.
We began with the two calibres most relevant to the Australian market — 9mm and .223 Rem — and built our manufacturing processes around precision, not volume. Every decision comes back to one question: does this make the ammunition more consistent?
We're building a reputation for reliability that means when an RDM round goes into a chamber, the outcome is predictable. That's what we're here to deliver.
We will never sacrifice lot-to-lot consistency for production speed. If a batch doesn't meet specification, it doesn't ship.
Our performance data is gathered from service-length barrels under realistic conditions. Not 24" test barrels.
RDM is building domestic manufacturing capability that can be relied upon — for civilian shooters, competitors, and professional users alike.
We're building a business to last. That means investing in the right components, processes, and relationships — not cutting corners to compete on price.
